This last Friday night we went to Lagoon to attend there Frightmares event. This was my first time going to Frightmares in about 9 years so I was excited for it. Kiera got us some discount passes so it was a little cheaper then what it normally would have been. We got to the park at around 5:30pm and it was already pretty packed. I didn't think it would be bad since it was open all day for UEA weekend. I was wrong. It was really packed. But that didn't stop us from enjoying it.

Because of how busy it was we didn't get to do many rides. However we were able to do some that I never have before. I guess I must be a lot more courageous with Kiera at my side lol. I've always been afraid to do Cliffhanger and the Samurai because I have a fear of hanging upside down. But Kiera talked me into trying them out on our visit and I must say that I loved both rides. We also went on the new ride Odyssey. Its pretty much a kid ride but I liked it. Kiera not so much lol. The ride sprays water at out and there are arrows that light up to show you which to move the car your riding in up and down to avoid getting wet. I told Kiera to sit on the inside of the car but she said the inside would get more wet then the outside. I feel bad because I got off the ride dry and she was wet in many places. Our car had a delay so one of the fountain we would rise strait into it getting her wet. The only other rides we had time to do that night were The Spider, Colossus, The Wild Mouse, The Swings, and The Bat. I would have loved to do Wicked but the line looked like it was over an hour wait for it.

I really enjoy the Frightmare event cause I like how they have the majority of the park done up for Halloween. However the lines for the haunted houses were insane. We only did one of the three haunted houses and we waited in line for it for about an hour and a half. It was the fun house of fear one and frankly it sucked. It was kinda cool that it was in 3d but it repeated itself in every room because of that. And it took maybe 5 minutes to get thru. So all in all it wasn't worth the wait. I would have rather waited for Wicked then for that poor excuse of a haunted house. I don't know how the others were but I heard there better then the one we did. Oh well maybe next year. We also walked thru the junkyard thing they had set up. I think that was more scary then the haunted house we went thru lol. I liked how it was just random junk that use to be part of the park many years ago. Now including many of the old miniature golf props since that is being torn out for next year. The last thing we did that was Frightmares related was we went to the Hypnotist show. It was way funny and we really enjoyed it. If you go I recommend checking this show out. Also we ran into my Mom and Little Brothers there.

In all We had a fun night despite the crowds. I think it was worth the money to check out and have some fun. Don't go over UEA weekend though as in addition to crowds you had a ton of immature Junior High and High School kids to deal with. I look forward to attending this again next year hopefully on a not so busy weekend.

I Just thought this Sign was funny. I don't think i'd want to sit on it:
