We are going to be Home Owners

Well for those of you who havn't heard yet we finally found a home to buy. We started looking just over a month ago. It has been a long process. We have looked at alot of decent homes as well as ALOT of junkers. Overall we looked at about 50 houses in total. But finally we found the one for us that just felt right. The pictures posted below are from the original posting on the MLS.



The house is located In Clinton. Its a little further North then we originally wanted to be but its a really nice area and the city is growing pretty quickly. We are very close to all the buisnesses and where all the growth is taking place.



The house was built in 2002 and is around 1,500 Square Feet. Its a 3 bedroom, 2 full bath, and also has a 2 car garage (Single wide but 2 car deep). Alot of the interior was recently redone with new paint (which we love the downstairs) and hard wood looking floor in the family room. The front yard is also finished with a nice little pond.



The kitchen is also newly painted and has all updated appliances. It also has a huge walk in pantry which is also where access the crawlspace is located at.



The dining area sits just off the Kitchen.



Upstairs is where the 3 bed rooms and 2 baths are located. The master bedroom is huge. It has a very large walk in closet and one of the baths is also attached to the master bed room. We arn't a big fan of the wall colors in the Master bed room or the 2 baths though so those will be repainted shortly after we are in the house.

The other 2 bedrooms are very nicely sized also. One of which has a walk in closet too. We plan on doing the same as the current owners with making the one a bedroom and the other an office.





We are very greatful to be able to be in a position to get into a house at this time. We are truely blessed and know that God guided us and helped us to get into this home. We close on the house on March 25th and plan to move in to it that following weekend. We also plan to have somewhat of a house warming party shortly after we get settled in.

We have alot planned for our new home and are so excited. With the new Stimulus plan the government recently passed we get a Tax credit as first time home owners and we will be getting $8,000 that we don't have to pay back from the Government (the old credit was $7,500 and you had to pay it back within 15 years). So we are very greatful for that and other then paying off my car we will be using the money to do some upgrades to the house like new paint upstairs, new carpet, finishing the backyard, and some tile work. But we will see what all we decide once we are in. I guess then we will have something to update our blog more regularly with lol.
