Price Family Reunion 2010

In an attempt to try and get caught up I must apologize now but I don't intend to do a lot of writting. I know the things most people care about the most are pictures anyways and so thats what most of our upcoming blogs will consist of.

Over the 4th of July my step dads family usually go up into mountains above Heber for a camping get away. This year the doubled it up with the Price Family reunion. With the 4th of July falling on a Sunday this year Kiera and I were able to get off work early on the 3rd and head up to spend some time camping with the family for a few days. We had a wonderful time spending the weekend with family and cousins that as time has gone by and many of us have grown up we don't get to see each other much anymore.

My Uncle's family owns some land up above Heber so thats where we went. Many of our extended family members brought Trailers to camp in including my Parents. However Kiera and I decided to try toughing it out in our tent. Yeah that only lasted one night as although it was the beginning of July up in the mountains the air was still VERY cold at night. We ended up sleeping in the trailer the rest of the weekend.

We had a lot of fun relaxing in the mountains. There were many different things we could do like play pioneer games, ride ATV's or horses, shot shotguns, go for a walk amungst the beautiful suroundings, or just huddle around the campfire and converse with the good company thats our family. All of it sure beat being at home working anyways. Our final day we also went down to Current Creek Resivour and relaxed on the shore line while my brothers fished and Jaxon played in the water.

The 4th of July itself turned out to be pretty intersting as a storm passed thru this day. The Big suprise was the SNOW. Yes we saw is snowing on the 4th of July. Not something you see too often. It stormed pretty much the whole day. Except for a small break that we got to have a small Sacrament meeting on the Mountain. The rain cleared up just as we started and it came down again just as the meeting ended. This was such a spirtual experiance and I know that our Heavenly Father was blessing our family for doing what was right.

Overall we had an awesome time. We love getting together with the extended family that we don't see often. Especially our Cousins that have grown up and moved on to other things in there lives. Although next year may not be a reunion we look forward to possibly making it up there again and do some more camping.
